Default Which is Easier to Learn

WHich one is easier to learn PHP or ASP? I'm thinking of going more advanced into my programming knowledge and want to take the plunge into something that will not be too difficult.

I'd say they are about the same, but you might find more online help for php because everyone uses it.

php is better to me. I do not like asp too well because of the association to IIS and M$.

Yes, you have to use specific servers to handle it not so? I think ASP is more hack prone as well?

I'm not the best person for an opinion on this because I've only played with them, but I like PHP more, just makes better sense, the code that is. Plus there is lots of help online for it.

Both are about the same, but if you run into problems there are more resources online that can help you with PHP. Most things with ASP is based on ebooks and manuals.

PHP is the thing, very few sites choose not to use php and most of those are the ones where they don't know better .
