Default Web 2.0 So What

What is the big deal with web 2.0? You can create a page with Web 1.0 and have it look the same as the 2.0 one.

Web 2.0 was referred to as this idea of the "Web as a platform". But people got silly with this AJAX thingy when it came out. It has always been said the AJAX means Javascript now works. LOL

But nevertheless, tell me, what looks better. A site made with frontpage (plain and flat) or this web 2.0 that has curves and colors. People can react to the information.

Saying is:
"you got 5 seconds for each person that views your web page"

My view is if it looks good and functions then who cares what's under the hood. Seems to me that the only people interested in web 2.0 is the people who design sites.

Sometimes what looks good in one browser may not look good in another browser. If it looks good in all the browsers though then go for it.

Curves does not grab me as much as content, so if it has curves with nothing to offer then what's the point?
