I think it would be good if live help was available when they claim to be.
Also i think it would be good if live help actuially could help. Cause all they seem to di is direct you to emailing support.

Very poor sevcie off live help on every occasion I have had the misfortune of needing to speak withthem.

At this time all HostV Support is handled via the ticket system. We may include more options. If you have a ticket number please let me know so I can look into any issues you have.

I've submitted several tickets over the last few months, and each time only got the automated responses saying that the ticket is being closed due to my lack of response. I've tried contacting via phone (even tried selecting the sales option) and live chat, all to no avail.

The price, server performance, and support started out great, but have taken a major turn for the worst over the last 6 months. At this point, I'm in the process of moving to a new host... if I can get in touch with someone to close my account.

Regarding live support: I will be bringing your feedback from this thread to our upper managements attention and ask them to better clarify on our web site the options available for live support. Please note that we do provide 24/7 Tech Support that is handled via email and tickets and 24/7 Billing Support by live chat, phone and tickets/email. I am sorry that you feel you have been misled.

You are not the only one bro. This is going on time after time. For everyone. Now they deleted our posts, and closed our thread for the second time, with no questions answered. We had all VPS and HostV lost our data. We are all doing business, not personal websites.

Some of questions and things that never got answered, and were censured/deleted:


Why are you deleting posts?
Why are you leaving chats?
Why are you closing tickets?
Why are you not answering tickets?
Why cant you access backups?
What happened to bare metal restore?
What is bare "metal restore"?
Why dont you do this restore?
How many sited have been affected by this?
Do you have backup before you run FSCK?
Why was there no warning before taking down servers?
Do you have even data backup, tar, zip, gzip, even old one?

What happened with the server?


We all to this point dont have websites, even our VPS servers dont work, we had go buy new hosting from another company just to put: "Page is down website!" They claimed that we contact billing to get a new VPS setup. But their sistem for billing dosent work. So you finnaly go and send them a message from email. But billing dosent answer your ticket, after 24 hours, they send YOU a message that THEY did not recive a answer, WTF?!, and they will close ticket if you dont answer something. So you go ahead and ask what is going on and why is your ticket closed when they say to contact billing and then your ticket is being ignored. Of course after another 12 hours your ticket is really being closed. And you can go on and on like this.

Now they deleted our posts and thread is being closed, so we cant even talk to other members. Lot of BS this is all!

We are deeply sorry for the problems on node 39 and hope you can continue to be patient while we work on the server. For those affected please get in touch with our billing department for compensation in the form of 3 months hosting.

Regarding backups: We operate backups as advertised but as witnessed it is not always 100% reliable. Rest assured that we are examining our back up system for ways to improve and prevent this from happening again. If you have a personal back-up please contact us and we will set you up new VPS and get your site restored as soon as possible.

This is a isolated instance on one of our nodes and we continue to operate as normal. Our network and support remain online and available 24/7 to answer your tickets and e-mails. It is recommend to login to the client area and submit a ticket.

For anyone who has experienced delayed or none responses to their support requests, please PM me your ticket # and I will look into it right away. For those who have lost data, again we understand and will do everything we can do recover your files.

Some posts have been deleted because users have violated the terms of this forum: Posting false information, using profanity and disrespecting staff members is not okay under any circumstances.

Ok Nicholas. Thank you for your words. Please understant that my post above didnt violate any rools, and i would not like that you deleted it because it would then be violating my freedom of speach. Because above words are clear sumerize of question that did not get answered in the closed thread. No lies. So you did a good thing now leaving it like this. It is better to transparent all process going on, and answer it nicely than delete posts.

Keep up the good work, and please dont delete posts that don't violate the rools because that will only bring in more bad things. About the thread being closed, we havent seen a real answer but I can understand that from your side because you are trying to put out the fire.
