This is going to be a riot, I wonder if Bill Gates is crying now with Google wanting to have their own operating system?

Well Microsoft has had a long standing battle with Linux, and Mac, so having Google here just makes it more of a challenge. Google will have to do wonders for anyone to switch.

I agree with wilber and I welcome the competition. However, has Google actually released something? Is this going to be free?

Keep in mind that this will be based on the Google Chrome browser so only if you like that will you likely like the os, but smaes goes if you don't.

Honestly I have not used their browser. I was turned off by reports that it would record which web pages you visited etc.
