They're saying the Russians were the ones attacking facebook, is any site safe really?

If enough people hate you they can make co-ordinated attacks that really can't be prevented as far as I understand.

I heard that Russian talk also, but it can be made to look like its them, who knows really.

Making it look like it was them is a point I did not take into consideration. Nevertheless you really have to do regular backups of your site.
