Default Simple HTML & PSD Editors

Does anyone have any relatively simple HTML &/or PSD (Photoshop) file editors to recommend? I'm thinking programs that are freeware that would be good for simple text changes operating off the local PC, preferably with some sort of WYSIWYG interface.

Thanks for any tips & thoughts. Maybe there are some good websites that review options?

For graphics you can use GIMP.

For html you can use Kompozer.

Both are free and even have portable versions as well.

Default HTML editor

Thanks, Kompozer seems interesting. It has a layout similar to Dreamweaver which I also used a few years ago.

Are there any other decent freeware HTML editors out there which I should consider?

Editpad is good, they have various versions depending on what you need.

Default Editpad

Thanks for the Editpad tip, but it isn't WYSIWYG-like enough for me.

Really if you want to get into the depth of page design you need to understand the code from a program like notepad or editpad.
