My Forum Needs Some Activity! - HostV Community

I've installed a whole bunch of features but these days I get a lot of people looking but no one really posting. Anyone with some advice to get people more active?

make the forum active with a couple of controversial posts that make people want to reply, this can be farmed out at GAF or some such site. You can probably get 100 forum posts for 30$ once people see the forum active they are more likely to sign up and post.

Do you post there? Nothing more worthwhile than seeing the site owner participating so people know he does care about the community.

Join top sites, make sure your site is SEO and you place links everywhere you can.

Thanks for all the suggestions. A lot of those will take some time but I guess the whole idea is that if it were easy everyone would have dream activity on their site.
