Anyone saw the movie Whiteout? Is it like about vampires or something different?

I have not seen it but its about a killer in Alaska. The reviews haven't been good.

Its another one of those films like Day of Night with the vampires trapping this town.

I don't think it is about vampires it's just about some killer in Alaska we get a hint from the trailer when the plane comes down.
