I think I've done all I can to get my site to where it is and although I get a lot of traffic from the search engines I need to go a step further but not sure how. Any tips welcomed!

This is the age old question, but all I can say is keep placing your link everywhere.

What is the URL of your site? there is a lot you can do to make the first page of Google.

1. Submit articles to the top 10 article directories this will give you links and traffic.
2. Change the articles (rewrite) and submit to sites like Squidoo.
3. Make blogger blogs on your Niche add links to your main site.
4. Do the above with wordpress direct links to your other blogs and main site.
5. Build links that are relevant to your site.
6. IMPORTANT choose your keywords carefully don't try to rank for Health but choose a long tailed keyword such as "health products in Newyork" or "cheaper health products"
7. Make sure each keyword has its own page also make sure its mentioned at least 4 times on your main page.

Key word research is the key to more traffic. There are some great software products that will find "golden keywords" once you have them in your niche then see what a difference it makes.

Those are some good tips Magpie, I'll also add that the actual design of your site is important too since once the person gets there you want them to stay.

There are people on DP that do this for real cheap, not sure how good they are though so be careful.

To the important article directories like ezine I submit them manually myself, these top five directories will give you authoritative back links with Google and will bring traffic to your site, so its important your articles are submitted correctly.

I then use article submitter software to submit to about 60 to 150 other directories.

I only submit a original article to the top 5 directories, it is then run through a re-writer software to submit to other directories.
I normally pay about 4 to 5 USD for a good article to be written of about 400 words.

The trick here is to do it slowly so Google thinks it is natural, by the way here is something I learned, Google will not penalize you for duplicate content on different sites, if you have duplicate content on the same site only the first instance is indexed by Google. The duplicate content is ignored.

I know how these idiots on DP (Digital Point) operate they will just spam your articles all over the net keep well clear of DP they are a bunch of Kiddie spammers and scammers. You need to have your articles on a site that has good content, not mixed in with porn and Viagra ads.

The DP owner is being hounded by EBay for cookie stuffing so decide for yourself if you want to trust these people.

I never see Google ads or just about any ad or banner I use firefox with ad block plus and no script gets rid of 99% of web rubbish.
