Sowing peace would be boring. I think Smith resurrected is still plausible but something that explained the Matrix would be cool.

The last movie showed us that the robots were capable of breaking up and going their own way, so there is a story.

If they do decide to make one I hope its not too long from now because that will just kill the whole rhythm.

The silliest thing will be to try and make a remake of the Matrix as they like to do with lots of movies these days.
