You think that is bad, there are lawsuits against the pope himself as having abused people.

Those lawsuits are frivolous they aren't going to get anywhere with that because the pope is untouchable.

Are their courts within the Vatican? They need a few priests jailed and then this will stop.

I'm sure there are but they would protect their own. Just because they are priests doesn't mean they can't be prosecuted by the local authorities.

What about the victims? I feel sorry because in most cases these were just children who were preyed on by supposed holy men.

I doubt there will be any significant justice. Nuns and priests are known to beat children all the time.
