Thumbs up Selecting a Domain Name at the Time of Registration

Hi Everybody,

While registering a domain name for your website, it’s very important to select the name wisely. This is the first and most important thing that is going to help you a lot in your online promotional campaigns. Especially in search engine ranking because this is the most effective aspect in promotional activities.

So the tip is to select the most specific name related to your business. Remember that the keyword (name of your product/service) should be popular search term with less competition.

There are two things to keep in your mind:

I would never buy an India extension domain or any country specific domain name because no one uses those really.

You said it Wilber, i do not like domain extensions other than .com and will only take the other extensions to secure a certain name.

Through about good names. For instance if you have a valuable .com its best to get the .net version so someone doesn't try to mimic you.

If you have extra money it is helpful to also buy the variants of your domain name to keep the domain sharks off of it.

Most young starters don't have a lot of money to invest so they don't tend to do that but you can see where it will be good if they did.

At least if you get the .com and the .net versions you are good. Later you can get .org and .co when you have extra cash.

I think .CO is getting more powerful possibly even more than .NET, maybe not quite yet but close.

i do not think .Co will become more valuable than .net or .org but they are still good to have for more important domains.

If anything what will slow the excitement of .Co is the cost! At $29 it is expensive to maintain that.
