Default Best Routers

Which are the best routers to use? I have a Linksys but I'm not too happy with the options it gives.

I think you have a good brand right there because they are made by Cisco Systems. Netgear is also a good brand.

Yes both are good but I am looking for a router than does what I need it to do and not simply relay internet or lan.

CISCO support is one of the worst ever. they will have you going in circles to get an answer about one of their products.

I have found that most routers more or less do the same thing... the biggest difference is the software, especially control over the firewall.

That is true but some of them do send their signals better than others plus there is the matter of reliability.

Nexxt for me is too basic in some things and that is why Cisco is always ahead of them.
