I'm sure some people will sue them but I doubt they will reach far because its all a religious thing and no one is forcing them to participate.

This is not something new. There are many religions in existence today like the JWs and Adventists where prophecies were made that never happened.

That's true the JWs said Jesus was coming back in 1914 and well that didn't happen now did it.
