Default Free VPS

How is it that some people can advertise they are giving away a free VPS?

Free VPS? Does such a thing exist? maybe they meant free hosting and forgot to take away the "VPS", no one can offer that or else it is not really free and they are trading something.

I thought it was some kind of scam. A VPS costs around $40 a month so you would have to be crazy or have money to burn to do that.

It does sound like a scam and I can't see anyone going for something like that. better to pay and know what you are getting.

When you get a chance I will like to see one of these ads and do some checking.

Funny, it may be that they are just giving large shared accounts that look like if it is a VPS but once you start using it you see the restrictions.
