Default MSN Bot gone wild

is it just me or has the MSN bot gone wild and taking up all the resources on my server?

They hardly spend time on my site but when they do come they come like there is no tomorrow. It does not follow the robot.txt file either.

They must have recently changed something because it is scouring the site more than ever now and I found that kind of strange, i see I'm not the only one.

Bing is probably not living up to the expectations they put out so they are trying to index everything now.

Maybe MSN / Bing found something good about your site and decided to give it a go, you can only benefit from the extra exposure I think.

I saw it once for a couple of days straight and then it disappeared. maybe it takes time on your site and leaves after.

Even if it still just sends a couple of visitors its still worth it because those might be buyers.

That is true and it just takes the one but the chances are less likely. I get most of my hits from Google.

No other search engine can really compare to the results that Google gives, but a lot of people still use MSN so don't discount them yet.
