Default Burstable RAM

When does burstable RAM come into play and how long does it last?

Its supposed to be available when you need it and lasts for as long as the server gives a cut off, usually 90 seconds.

I've always wondered about that because if everyone is sharing the same RAM then you won't get your quota.

Hopefully the server has enough RAM to go around then. how much RAM does a typical server have anyway?

I think you can only be assured of the RAM you have when you are on a dedicated server.

There is chained RAM too, that isn't the name but I can't remember what it is called at the moment. it is where you have a set amount of RAM no matter what.

I have a set amount of RAM on my system, there is no burstable amount and I like it that way because I know what i have at all times.

When you use that system for RAM it means it is a closed node system which is also better for your security.

So then it is best to not use a server with burstable RAM, is that what you are saying?

Wilber isn't saying that but he is making reference to the possibility of a more secure system in theory anyways.
