Default Vista or XP

Already Microsoft wants to pull XP off the market and leave us with the monster known as "Vista" with all its bugs and incompatibilities. I don't think I can part with XP to be honest. Anyone here actually rather Vista over XP?

XP all the way. There are some things I like about Vista graphics wise but that much to upgrade of lose some of what I already enjoy with XP.

I prefer XP. It may be around a little longer because current users are not happy with Vista and are looking for loopholes to get Microsoft to continue updates for XP. Vista may be the way of the future, but its still very buggy and without real solutions no one will be converted.

Yeah true.. XP is definitely the best and there's no real reason one should upgrade to vista (not for me anyways). And what about linux? Any of you guys using linux as a desktop ?

I'd like to use Linux mostly because the incentive is it's free, but the compatibility issues is what stops me. Back to the issue at hand, for me Vista does not exist, that is some invention of MS that is not reality.

Parody you can try installing both operating systems. It takes up a lot more space but in the end you have the best of both worlds. I rather XP.

Geek, you have a particular program to do that or did you set up by yourself somehow?

To install both operating systems you simply have to make a partition and then install the other OS on the new partition. Then at startup your system will ask you which OS to boot.

Clipshare makes it sound really easy, but you have to be sure that you do this properly or you can end up with a system that doesn't boot properly so be careful.
