On a VPS are you totally private from the next guy on the same server or is there still that element of being watched over by a bigger daddy like a reseller account?

I believe you are private because you have your own root access. Its nothing like a reseller account.

Yes you are still sharing with others but not under the same account so its not like how a reseller is setup.

I should add that nothing online is so private that you are untouchable. You are part of a network.

Well of course, but the only person who should have 'access' is the host and no one down the chain line of the network.
