Which one do you think is better for handling compressed files: 7-zip or Win-RAR?

7-zip is free and there is also a portable version. I rather Win-RAR ro be honest but you have to pay to get rid of the nag screens.

I rather Win-Rar, its way faster and has more features compared between the two.

Either one is just fine with me so long as the job gets done. I haven't notice any speed differences really.

I like win-rar more for the features. I especially like that you can see messages on the right panel - 7zip does not have that, yet.

Why hasn't 7zip done that yet, I always like to read the notes with compressed files.
