FTP storage swap for backups

Anyone interested in swapping around 5GB of storage for backups. I have made a script which can backup accounts and upload them to ftp using either cPanel style backup packages or manually choosing directorys and databases (in mysqlhotcopy) to backup. My script also uses GPG to password protect the files.

I'm looking for someone within the data center (so any hostv VPS customer) but who has a VPS that is not on the same server where my VPS is hosted (node15.hostv.com).

Data transferred within the data center does not count towards your bandwidth limits.

Anyone interested?

Sounds good to me. I'm on node22. Do you know how much storage i actually have with a VZ1 plan? I mean the compare chart says i have extra 25GB backup storage, but the Virtuozzo panel only allows one backup. It's nice to have incremental backups, in case i inadvertently back up a hacked website, or screw up some code or something. Is the extra 25GB accessible, or is that only where the Virtuozzo backup goes?

Anyway some seriously critical stuff, it'd be nice to have backed up elsewhere.

I believe it's only for Virtuozzo backups. You can only use that 25GB for everything else. I was using 22GB only my sever but after removing some crap from here and there, I managed to be using only 10GB.

Sweet. How long does it take to make a full backup of 22GB? Is that files or just big media?

I mis-worded my post big time.

You can mirror your VPS only once using Virtuozzo, whether you are using 100MB or 25GB and you have to do it manually. But with ftp sharing, you can have daily backups on the most important files.

No. Your backups will be on my server and my backups will be on your server.
